This recent incentive has seen a number of planters established throughout the village.
These have been placed at strategic points for residents and visitors to enjoy maximum benefit when Blackridge is in Bloom.
This work is ongoing, as we are continuing to look for new locations and new ideas how we can make our village beautiful, alongside the regular maintenance of our established planters and hanging baskets.
We hope you enjoy the bright colours the different seasons bring.
Renewable energy funding from local wind farms prove an excellent source of income for the Community Council and this allows us to enhance the overall village outlook with many additions to our landscape over the years making sure every resident benefits.
Burnhead Moss Education & Training Fund is a charitable fund that benefits people living in the community council areas of Avonbridge & Standburn and Limerigg & Slamannan in Falkirk and also Blackridge, West Lothian. It was launched in 2016 and should be available for the operating lifetime of the wind farm which is expected to be 20-25 years.
The Fund totals £26,000 per year and supports local people with vocational education and training opportunities using local training facilities and contribute to creating job opportunities in the local area.
If you are aged 16 and over, living in Blackridge and doing (or applying to do) a further education or training course to develop your skills and employability, you are eligible to apply.
